Translation of vocabulary in English Renaissance Poetry

Dear Sirs:

I'm trying to translate into Spanish some Philip Sidney's poems. I'm not quite sure if this is the main purpose of your site, but

in any case, thank you for your help. May I translate the word entertain, as receiving some visit, besides its aception of amusing?

Another question: May we considered the use of the auxilary shall not only as a future form, but with the same meaning of could?

Wich Dictionary of Literary Terms Online do your recommend?

Thank you all, ALINA SANCHEZ

Hi Alina,

Welcome to the Forum.

Another question: May we considered the use of the auxilary shall not only as a future form, but with the same meaning of could?

Can you perhaps supply a sentence to allow us to look at this in context?

Best wishes, Clive
