You don’t have to wait for me.

My father had to stop smoking

I didn’t have / need to use a computer.

I always wanted to be a doctor.

My sister had to move out last month.

7. Tu devras me téléphoner avant 8 heures.

You will have / need to call me (up ?) before 8 o’clock.

8. J'ai réussi à améliorer mes performances.

I managed to / was able to improve my performances

9. As-tu été obligé d'appeler le docteur?

Did you have to call the doctor ?

10. Devras-tu te lever tôt samedi prochain?

Will you have to get up early next Saturday ?

11. Pourquoi as-tu dû t'occuper de tes frères hier soir?

Why did you have to look after your brothers last night ?

12. As-tu réussi à trouver un travail intéressant?

Did you manage / Were you able to find an interesting job ?

13. Pourquoi n'as tu pas pu venir plus tôt?

Why weren’t you able to / couldn’t you come earlier ?

14. Pourras-tu m'aider à faire mes devoirs?

Can you help me do my homework ?

15. Pourquoi as-tu dû aller à l'hopital?

Why did you have to go to hospital ?

16. Dois-tu travailler ce week-end?

Do you have to work this weekend?
