Translation of a short film piece.

Hello,
I'm doing a short piece of translation from one Polish film. I've come across the fragment in which the main character is taking an oath and I'm not sure if the translation I've done is correct in the terms of English grammar, connotations, perhaps logic as well.

The President of the Republic of Poland,
every order of the commander in chief
and designated by them commander of the
Home Army will be my honour and principle.

Thanks for any advices/suggestions too!

It does not make sense: 'honour' and 'principle' do not work there, but I am not sure what is intended. ) of the commander-in-chief and designated by them ( Who is 'them'? ) commander of the Army will be my honour and principle .

  • ) Because of the grammar, you seem to have at least 4 people here: the president, the commander-in-chief, the commander of the Army, and 'them'.

The President of the Republic of Poland, every order (Who is ordering whom?) of the commander-in-chief and designated by them (Who is 'them'?) commander of the Army will be my honour and principle. (Either these two words are wrong or 'be' is the wrong

I've done the translation once again and I think it should work now:

I promise my absolute obedience to
The President of the Republic of Poland,
every order of the commander-in-chief
and designated commander of the Army.
And regardless of any danger,
I shall keep the secret.
So help me ***!

Much better (and much different!). I suggest:

I promise my absolute allegiance to the President of the Republic of Poland, every order of the commander-in-chief and designated commander of the Army. And regardless of any danger, I shall keep the secret.(This last seems very wrong unless there is an actual secret as the object of this oath. Is th
