Translation (grammatically correct?)

Translation
The British economy will be in danger if British students don’t take the chance to study abroad. The recent numbers of all studies show that the lack of foreign experiences is already compromising the businesses outlooks of the United Kingdom.
Since the first study was conducted in 2000 the British Council has been warning that the competitive advantage of the United Kingdom could be decreased due to the lack of foreign experience of their graduates.
According to a spokeswoman of the British Council it seems that, at a time when university education has become limitless, fewer of their students take an interest in taking up the challenge of studying abroad. If this does not change, our future workforce will have a rather limited horizon. And there is another problem: so far the United Kingdom has never had a problem to recruit foreign students. However, this dominance will also soon come to an end, if nothing changes. That will also have a negative influence on the United Kingdom.

-- It is a translation from an german text. Not sure if it is correct, especially the second paragraph because I changed the part into reported speech (at least I tried to.. )

I would really appreciate some help. thanks.
