Dear teachers,please be so kind to tell me if this sentence is gramatically correct. Please when correcting it, try to be as close as possible to the words used by me."We are not clear with your way of dealing from the beginning, you are countinuously adding information in a very confusing way and we´ve got to the point that we even did not understand if and how many walls we will have to provide for.This way of dealing is not acceptable for us"One second request, please. I need to translate this italian sentence: "dire che il vostro modo di trattare é confuso é poco..."I translate word by word, although it doesn´t make sense: "to say that your way of dealing is confused is not much" Is it possible to get a translation which is the closest possible to this italian sentence?Please I need a reply.ThanksPamela

Hi, Pamela,

I suppose you wanted to say: Direi che ...o Vorrei dire che ...
If not, that sentence doesn't make sense. Otherwise, I'd say you should write a complete sentence.

So:
Direi che / Vorrei dire che il vostro modo di trattare é confuso é poco = I'd like to say ( I'd like to add ) that the way ( your way ) you treat things ( this matter / question / issue ) is confusing ( confuses us ; is not clear ) and just ....

Or: I would say that your way of dealing ( even: the way you handle ... ) .. is confusing and ...

It depends on what you mean, what you want to say.

Hi Audray,

I see you are from Italy so I assume you should know that in Italian language you can say this: "Dire che il vostro modo di trattare é confuso é poco" Why do you think that it doesn´t make sense? Haven´t you ever said something like this?
Alternatively in Italian I could say "il vostro modo di trattare é piu´che confuso" how would you translate this?
"The way you are dealing is more than confusing"??

Il vostro modo di trattare ( maybe your way of doing something, you mean ) .... ( here is missing something ) non è per niente chiaro...or something like that.

Regarding to "Dire che il vostro modo di trattare é confuso é poco" is only part of a phrase, is not the entire ideea, as I can understand. If I say that, I should continue with something else in Italian. That's why, after that, the meaning might change.

Perhaps something like this:      "We have not been clear on your way of dealing with us from the beginning. You continually add information in a very confusing manner, and we have gotten to the point that we do not even understand how many walls we will have to provide."           (A question, are you providing "walls" or something for the "walls."  If the latter, then leave "for" at the end of the sentence, although that is a hanging preposition.     Perhaps ...."how many walls for which we will have to provide (something)."

I mean that we will provide walls. Please be so kind to explain me why I have to leave the "for" .

It would be natural to me to add this preposition..

In the context you provided, I think we would probably say something like this:

To say that your way of communicating is confused would be an understatement.

But you can vary it in several ways.

[To say that / Saying that]
your [communications are / way of communicating is / method of communication is / way of handling this matter is] [confusing / confused / muddled / less than optimal]
[is / would be] (to make) an understatement.

Take your pick.

(It sounds like a complete sentence to me!)
