translation Fr-Eng (1)

Dear teachers,

I'd like to know if there is a page on this site where I can have my translations corrected. If not, can I still send them to you here?

Here are 3 sentences for translation in case someone wants to help. (Is the use of "in case" correct in my sentence by the way ?)

1) Il y a tant de bagarres dans les rues que même les policiers n'y viennent pas.
There are so many fights in the streets that even the police don't go there.

2) C'était un monde tellement à part.
It was a world so much aside (?) / I twas such a paculiar world.

3) La chose la plus importante c'est de faire partie d'un groupe.
The most important thing is to belong to a group.

Thank you for your help.

Hello Jim, nice to talk to you again Emotion: big smile

What's the meaning of "unto", please ?

It's an older form of to. It has gotten fossilized in some expressions. It's not used anymore except in such fixed expressions or idioms. You are likely to find it in the Bible.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
