I think the American dream is actually one big illusion. American officials are very much aware of the power of words and they use it in order to persuade the citizens to live in the country of dreams. An excellent example is the pop singer Madonna, who has gone from a girl from the neighborhood to the top music scene. But, of course, nothing in the U.S. is accidental. An individual can achieve success only if behind him or her stands the powerful industry (machinery). What remains for others is just hope in an American dream.
