Translated quotes

0Can somebody please check these two quotes which are translated from Arabic. They are taken from interviewes with some teachers. I need to make sure that the transalation makes sense. Thanks. 02br

00"What decision-making are you talking about when we are bound by ministerial decrees and directives coming from above?...There are no decisions that we can make, and if I want to make any changes inside the school I will need to get the approval of both the District office and the Directorate; I cannot act on my own."02br

00 "00There isn’t any kind of participation. The whole school cannot make any decision because everything we need to do must be done according to a decree from the Ministry. Therefore, it’s impossible for us as a teaching staff to make any decision. Even if we are completely convinced that we can make the right decision, we will not be able to act until a decree is conveyed to the school...00There are no decisions in our hands. What do you think the decision that we teachers can make? Nothing! And if I attempt to voice my opinion, who is going to listen to me? I have many suggestions to make if someone asks me to do so, but nobody does... 00The problem does not lie in the teachers; teachers really want to express their opinions but these opinions are not valued. We often hear the frustrating word ‘step a side’. So, we avoid stress and we prefer to mind only our own business like planning the lessons and we leave decision-making to our superiors." 0-
