I sold some books. I took the bus. I bought a radio. I wrote a letter. I understood her question.- In all these after the verb there is an object which suffers or receives the action of the verb. ie. sold what? book, Wrote what? Letter..... Like that.. Okkkk- these verbs are known as 'transitive' verbs.
