Hi

Are these sentences correct?

1.The plate fell of the table.

2.The plate fell off. ( Here the speaker does to intend to say where it fell from)

1. The plate fell off the table (fell off - intransitive verb).

2. The plate fell from the roof (fell - intransitive verb).

3. The plate fell (fell - intransitive verb).

4. He used a knife to fell a tree (fell - transitive verb).

In almost all of the cases fell is an intransitive verb.
