Transition a verb?
"As our department transitions from a products-centric to a customer-centric..."
On an official document, my grammar was marked incorrect by my superior in the above statement.
I was under the impression that transit should be used when referring the physical change in location, as in commuting, or travelling while transition should be used for changes in states of being.
Should this be transits or transitions?
