Transformation of sentences (affirmative to negative)

I may have accidentally posted as anonymous, so if you see this question elsewhere, I apologize.
I had this question for my exam—Every man makes mistakes sometimes.
My answer was “No man never makes mistakes.”
My teacher believes I’m incorrect, since I changed the meaning, i.e. my sentence means that there IS a man who has never made mistakes. Please help!

No. If you want that meaning (underlined above), you write [Some men / At least one man] never make(s) mistakes.

And in fact, that is the negation of the original sentence, so it seems your answe

Okay, when I talk about affirmative to negative, we're supposed to simply put a negative word (no, not, never, etc) into the sentence in such a way that we DON'T change the meaning.
For example, "I'm cold." to negative would be "I'm not warm."
I apologize for not explaining myself properly.
So yes, according to my teacher I'm incorrect because she thinks I CHANGED the meani
