Transformation.

Add a comma each sentence that needs one.

I know the underlined part can be put 'needing'

but I think "that needs" would be more natural in the sentence than "needing"

but I don't know the rule or grammar used.

One more example;

Samuel Beckett directing his play Waiting for Godgot in 1984.

Does it sound natural if "directing" is changed into "who direct"(I know it's grammatically correct but don't know if it sounds OK.
