Transfer letter

Please read through the letter and make corrections where you find mistakes. Any suggestions to make the appeal stronger will be appreciated. Thanks.

I am writing to request consideration for a transfer from my position as a lecturer in English at Oxford College, Oxford to a similar position which is laying vacant under your kind control at your college in Cambridge.

I have enjoyed working here for a month and appreciated the experience I have gained. I am confident that my in-depth knowledge of the subject and strong communication skills would be an asset to your college.

Secondly, I believe that having the domicile of district Cambridge makes me an excellent candidate for the position. Besides, I am living alone in a hostel room, as the college, I am at present teaching in, is out of my own district. I am experiencing some problems living alone which also necessitate the need for me to be in closer proximity to my family, which is living in Cambridge.

I'm enclosing my updated curriculum vitae for your review. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours truly,

This is clumsy and unnatural. You should simplify it.

sundarnazwhich is laying vacant under your kind control

This comes across as stilted and wordy.
