train FOR/TO

0Hello guys!02br
02br
00I'm a bit troubled with uses of English "FOR" and "TO" for destination.02br
02br
00My E-J dictionary says there is some semantic difference between 02br
00(1) "He took a train to Tokyo" and (2) "He took a train for Tokyo".02br
00The dictionary is saying that: 02br
00By #1, we have to take that "he" got off at Tokyo. 02br
00But by #2, we need not to do so.02br
02br
00Do you agree to this? 02br
02br
00"You have to take a train to Paris and get off at Brussels". 02br
00Does it sound odd to you?02br
02br
00Thanks in advance.0-
