The train to London is arriving on platform number 1.
The train to London is arriving at platform number 1.
Which preposition is correct ?

Both are possible with a slight shift in meaning. Because trains are arriving on rails which lead to different plateforms of a station. I prefer "on platform 1".

I would prefer " the train to London is arriving at platform 1" because preposition ' at ' is more suitable than 'on'
