trace a thread

When I post a thread, I often go back to it the next day or in a few days. I don't have the time to reply and post a few times in one day. As a result, I often have a difficult time finding my thread. I have to browse through all the days before I read my thread. sometimes I even forget the thread title. I only remember the topic. Is there a way to trace a old thread? thanks.
