Toward, backward adverbs

Hello!

I have this sentence (it's slightly cropped): Font choices can influence viewers’ feelings toward and interactions with your design.

Could someone please explain me the underscored phrase?

I'm pretty confuced about adverbs such as this one. Ensured it's for a direction: go toward, look backward, etc.

Thanks in advance.
