Nowadays, people like travelling a lot and they travel to many places. This makes tourism become one of the most important industries of many countries, which attrac tlarge numbers of tourists, As a result, they have to provide facilities to meet the needs of tourists. Although tourism brings money into these countries and creates jobs, it can also cause problems,too.

In my opinion, one of the worst effects of tourism is the presence of large crowds of people in the streets as well as in beautiful areas. Tourists’ behavior can have a detrimental effect on the quality of life of the host community. For example, crowds and congestion together with increased crime levels may occur. Many communities feel they have lost their identity because of giving way to hotels or resorts in their village or town.

Besides, tourism also causes increased pollution through traffic emissions, littering, increased sewage waste and noise. Yet, tourists rarely worry about environmental issues. These problems can be very worrying for people who live in the area all the time.

Generally, I think there are some positive things that tourists can do. Firstly, they should think about where they will go on holiday and avoid the overcrowded places. Secondly, they should read about the destination carefully before they leave. This will help them understand the local people and culture better. Lastly, they should try to look after the area where they stay in and observe the rules there.

Overall, I believe tourism has many benefits not just for everyone but for many countries. Nevertheless, it is important that development of tourism should go along with environmental protection. Tourists should be aware of protecting tourist locations and reducing the undesirable impacts of tourists behavior.
