"You can't touch Thai people on the head."

Can we say "You can't touch Thai people's head."

Why do we use "on the ..."?

You should use "You can't touch Thai people's heads." We also use on the head because that is a common way of referring to body parts in English-- I was bitten on the arm, I punched him in the eye, etc.
