Turn (to/towards) your right.

I turned (to/towards) the direction where the loud crash sound was coming from.

I turned (to/towards) him for help.

May I know the answers? And preferably a brief explaination on to vs towards

Either choice works in the first two. towards sounds less precise than to , to my ear. In the last one, it's turn to someone for help .
