Topic: Some people think that it is acceptable to use animals in medical research for the benefits of human beings, while others argue that it is quite wrong.           Discuss both views and give your own opinions

Using animals in medical research for the benefits of human beings seems to be acceptable by some people’s thinking. However, others suppose that it is rather wrong. To my perspective, these views have both advantageous and disadvantageous sides to discuss; therefore, I will clarify it in this essay.

Researching medicine via animals to treat and support for people’s health is one of the best adaptive ways that human has been thinking and carrying out from the past until now. It seems to be the rightness of using animals for medical experiment. Initially, the medicine wouldn’t be used to treat for human if the testing productions have not performed before on animals. Obviously, the reason is that testing this on a living human is unethical and more objective. Next, the needs of human beings are responded by raising animals. In specific, killing animals for food or for scientific research is for human survival and evolution. Finally, there are no effective alternatives or sources for this testing because only some chosen animals which have identical parts, structures and react similarly to human.

According to some diverse conceptions, it seems to be immoral and unethical to do experiment on the living animal beacause of killing animals for any reasons is illegal by laws which have been assigned by government in almost countries on the world. On the one hand, the benefits achieved from animal testing is only for medical purposes. As a result, this will decline the value of animal respect, but expose cruelty to the animal world. On the other hand, alternative non – animal method testings should be encouraged. For instance, medical scientists can invent and use special facilities which have abilities to replace animals such as computerized human, patient simulators.

In my opinion, doing experiments on living animals should be considered. Besides, medical scientists should also associate other precise methods which are aided from other science sectors. Especially, protecting and respecting animals is one of the best ways helping to balance natural ecosystem on the earth.

In conclusion, researching medicine on living animals is extremely important for human beings; however, human must control and do something to balance beings of animals which have sacrificed for human beings. In a better way, medical scientists should use alternative non – animal method testings if they can replace animals.
