Topic 4: In many countries, young people leave rural areas for studying and working in cities. What are the causes of this trend?

There are several causes why young people move from agricultural areas to cities to study and work. The primary reason of this trend is higher education. Obviously, cities have more specilised universities or colleges which offer better facilities for studying. Thus, after graduating from prestigious schools, they can broaden their knowledge and get higher qualifications which play a fundamental role in finding a future job. Second, there will be more employment opportunities for the young living in the cities. For instance, an IT professional has more chances of having a job in a city instead of in a remote area. Moreover, high – skilled workers can have opportunities to access modern technology helping build a successful career. The last contributing factor is to experience new things in metropolis. This gives them valuable lessons to develop their own skills and handle difficult tasks in life. In conclusion, migrating to cities to study and work is very common to young people for three main causes mentioned above
