Top of one's voice versus their lungs

What sounds better, to say that somebody screamed at the top of their lungs, or to say that they screamed at the top of their voice? Or are they both equally correct and sensible?

Thanks.

Okay. What if it were "yelled" instead of "screamed." Would "voice" be fine in that case?

I don't find 'voice' right there, either. Frankly, in the back of my mind is some specific phrase with 'top of one's voice', but it escapes me.

"I put my red hunting hat on, and turned the peak around to the back, the way I liked it, and then I yelled at the top of my ******* voice, "Sleep tight, ya morons!" I'll bet I woke up ever

Well, Salinger is hard to refute, but I would like 'lungs' there better.
