Top-down processing or bottom-up processing
Could you please check my answers !!!!
Which of the following will help learners with a) top-down processing and which with b) bottom-up processing?
1 .Learners hear a story. They are then given cards with a word on it. They listen to the story again and stand up when they hear their word . 2 .Learners listen to a song and fill in gaps in a copy of the lyrics with words they hear.
3 .Students listen and decide whether the speaker is happy or sad .
4 .Students listen carefully to a recording a number of times to catch a word they did not catch.
5 .Students listen to sentences and say how many words they hear in each. Contractions count as one word.6 .Students listen to six items in a news report and match them to newspaper headlines.
7 .Students predict what words or phrases they might hear before they listen to a dialogue in a doctor's surgery.
8 .The teacher tells the learners they are going to listen to a story about a boy on his birthday and asks them what they usually do on their birthdays.
