Thanks, but I can't understand if she's asking him if he has a
strep throat since he's talking awfully quiet or she asks
if he had checked the corpse's throat in a jocular kind of way.

It is hard to tell for certain in the limited context.
I would guess that she asks if he is testing the body for signs of strep throat. Perhaps that would be a clue to the cause of death and point the finger of blame to one of Chloe's kids.
