This box is so heavy that I can't lift it

= This box is too heavy for me to lift (it)

Q. Why is the pronoun 'it' removed ?

that i can't lift it. " All clauses need a subject and object, and in the sentence, "it" acts as an object (receiver of the action, lift) The second sentence is a simple sentence, so no need for "it" I hope this helps!

It's because the first sentence has a subordinate clause starting from "...that i can't lift it. " All clauses need a subject and object, and in the sentence, "it" acts as an object (receiver of the action, lift)

The second sentence is a simple sentence, so no need for "it"

I hope this helps!

Removed? It only has to be removed if you incorrectly added it in the first place.
