Too vs. also

If we write "too" at the end of the sentence, can it replace "also".

For example:

He liked the dinner. I also liked it.

He liked the dinner. I liked it too.

Can every "also" be replaced with "too"?

Put also in the same place where you put adverbs of frequency (always, often, usually etc.):

He also knows the answer.
I have also seen that film.
They would also have come here.


Or put it at the end of a clause (not favoured by the British):

He knows the answer also.
I have seen that film also.
They would have come here a
