Too many "instead"?

Instead of e-mailing your friends, you'll have to talk to them on the phone instead.

Yes it is OK. If you would like to lose an instead you could say, "rather than emailing your friends, you'll have to use the phone instead."

It's grammatically correct, but it seems a bit crazy to put that "instead" at the end because you've already said that at the beginning. It's a little like saying, "If I weren't so sick, I'd get out of bed if I weren't so sick."
