too many commas?

I am not going to burn the house down but my family are worried to leave me on my own as I am very forgetful.

This sentence has two independant clauses so I would usually place a comma before 'but'. I have leant you should place a comma before 'as' if it means 'because', which here it does. So, should there be a comma before 'but' and 'as' or should I omit one of them? Thank you for your answer.

Anonymous So, should there be a comma before 'but' and 'as' or should I omit one of them? You can omit the second one if you wish, but the first one is really needed: I am not going to burn the house dow n, b ut my family are worried about leaving me on my ow n(,) as I am very forgetful.
