Hi,
warning: I'm afraid this is a difficult question, I feel it in my bones.
Only 10 cars for our show? That's too few! We need a lot of cars for our show tomorrow!
Only 10 cars for our show? Those are too few! We need a lot of cars for our show tomorrow!
Only 10 cars for our show? That's too little! We need a lot of cars for our show tomorrow!
Only 10 cars for our show? <other expression> We need a lot of cars for our show tomorrow! What do you think? I think the good one is "That's too few". I know I have to say "You got 10 gifts? Wow, that's a lot!" and not "Those are a lot!", so I think "That's too few" is the good one.
But I have another problem... What if I include the plural noun in the sentence? Like this:
Only 10 cars for our show? That's too few cars! We need a lot of cars for our show tomorrow!Any opinions? Thanks
