Too big of a pizza

Hello,

Could you tell me if you regard the phrase "too big of a..." as correct? It does not sound quite natural to me.

This is too big of a pizza for one.

Thank you for your answers.

I'd leave out the 'of a' and just say, "This is too big a pizza for one."

('of a' is used for a sentence like "It was considered too much of a risk to allow troop ships through the Mediterranean Sea.")
