Too

Hello,

1. He is too shy to speak in the class.

2. The new teacher is too kind to punish the children.

I have to replace the "too" with "so ... that.....not".

Here are my tries.

1) He is so shy that he cannot speak in the class.

OR

He is so shy that hedoes not speak in the class.

Which one is correct and why?

2)The new teacher is so kind that she cannot punish the children.

OR

The new teacher is so kind that she cannot punish the children.

Whic one is correct?

I would accept any of these as correct. Note that the context will determine whether you use "cannot" or "does not."
