Thank you Clive, but I wonder why we cannot say "the morning before last". I often hear people say " the night before last".Could you help me understand why?

Hi,
I wouldn't say you can't say it, but I don't hear people actually say it. I do hear it about 'night'.

But such a phrase is hard to put into reported speech.

Best wishes, Clive
