Tokyo station

Should I capitalize "station" in the following station?
Which is correct? It does not mention "a station in Tokyo" but it is one and only "Tokyo station."

1)The stop is close to Tokyo station.
2)The stop is close to Tokyo Station.

Nevertheless, many people do not bother to do so, and I'm afraid that I sometimes do not either. It is no great error, I think.
