You can say "Tokyo prices" but you should say "Tokyo's prices."

Thank you, John.

Is "Prices in Tokyo" okay too?

Thank you, John.

Do you say "Tokyo is expensive" to mean "Tokyo prices are high"?

No. I live in Paris and Paris is expensive.

The point is, Hublot, say what you mean.

If you are speaking of prices, then say 'prices'. If you are speaking in general terms about the cost of living then say 'expensive'.

Life is expensive but that does not mean that the price of life is high

I wonder what the difference is between "Tokyo prices" and "the cost of living in Tokyo".
