Toiletry VS toiletrie

I thought toiletries is simply a plural noun for toiletry, but I found my dictionary gives a different definition.

1. toiletry :[NOUN][, pl -ries] an object or cosmetic used in making up, dressing, etc

2.Toiletries are things that you use when washing or taking care of your body, for example soap and toothpaste.

So when toiletry becomes plural, it is different from the definition #2 but have the definition #1?

No, they are the same. I don't know why your dictionary has elected to have two entries with different wordings.
