TOEIC Questions

I'll go to the convention center as soon as I've checked into the hotel.
Once Nora has finished this work, get her started on the Finlay account.

My question here is whether I can replace the underlined words with "as". I know "as" can mean "when" in some cases. So they will become:

I'll go to the convention center as I've checked into the hotel.
As Nora has finished this work, get her started on the Finlay account.

Please advise. Thanks.
