Let me ask again, please.

Fill in the blank
We have to make a perfect manual ---------- all questions are answered.
(A) on which
(B) for that
(C) which
(D) from which

The answer on the text is D. But I thought A was more appropriate. And my teacher said both A and D are correct. What do you think?

Anonymous What do you think? I agree with what your teacher said. Both 'A' and 'D' are possible.

I would say that D is the only one that works, although it isn't a very good fit. I would say in which would be a good answer, but it isn't offered as a choice.

I agree. "In which" is the best fit. It's a poorly devised question.

None of those sound OK to me.
I'd say 'in which'.

Why doesn't 'ON manual' work for you, Blue Jay?

We normally say things like That's explained in the manual, not on the manual. The information may be on page 17, but it's in the manual.

So many thanks to you! I totally agreed on what you all were saying. If there is an option "in which", it suits. To alternate "in", i wonder if "on" can be used. "from" can be used but not felt suitable. I must tell an editor that the text that I'm using is not so good again../sigh... Anyway, thanks to all respondents.
