0 I think should take the TOEFL ,I am from a non-English speaking country, and when I came to the US, I had to take the TOELF in order to get accepted into any university and It is internationally recognized as an examination of the English Language. 0-

0Pilita's comments are appropriate, but if, as you say, you want to work rather than attend school, then TOEIC might be of more value, as it is used as a measure of English ability by many companies internationally. (It is also easier!) 02br
