Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very early age and should spend most of their time on school studies. Others believe that young children should spend most of their time playing. Compare these two views. Which view do you agree with? Why?

Children are very important. They are the ones who will shape our world and replace us in the future, and we have the responsibility to make sure our little citizens have the best environment to develop and maximize their potential. What children should do at their early age is a difficult question. Many people believe that they should go spend most of their time on school studies, while others believe they should spend most of their time playing. In my opinion, it is better for the youngsters to begin their formal education at these ages and use the majority of their time learning in schools.

First, it will make it easier for children to be successful in the future. In schools, along with participating in various types of activity, children have the opportunity to learn a wide range of subjects. Not only does this enhances children knowledge background, but it also gives children many beneficial skills. For example, learning maths help them improve their logical thinking, or discussing in classes will foster the children's ability to think critically. While these do not usually bring immediate effects, in the long run, they provide a base for their success. Good background and logical thinking are necessary for the youngsters to acquire advanced knowledge when they pursue higher education later, while critical thinking is extremely helpful when they have to deal with real-world problems, especially resolving conflicts.

Second, spending time on school studies keeps children away from crime. As we all know, children are often the targets of crime groups. Sometimes they are the victims of criminal acts, such as kidnapping and sexual exploitation, the other times they are the ones the gangs want to bring into their groups, so the youngsters would commit crimes themselves. In my building blocks, we have heard of many cases of burglary of children at the age of only 10. Thus, it is a better idea to let students spend most of their time on school studies. On one hand, schools will provide a secure, crime-free environment for kids to grow and develop. On the other hand, teachers in school will teach children moral and crime, so they can learn how to avoid criminal acts, as well as not carry out crimes themselves. In conclusion, children should definitely embark on their education at their early ages and spend most of their time on school studies because it will create a base for their success.
