People attend college or university for many different reasons (for example, new experiences, career preparation, increased knowledge). Why do you think people attend college or university? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Attending college is one of the most important decisions in our lives but it is also a choice that we need give a lot of thought. People have different points of view and interests. There are so many reasons why someone would go to a university. Here are some of the causes.

Firstly, parents are a huge influence in their kids and this can infer in their decisions. In some cases when parents did not get the chance to have a high level education they force their children to attend college when they do not want to. Also and one of the most common reasons is for acquiring more knowledge for work. After graduating from high school people usually want to specialize in what they are interested.

Secondly, nowadays people just want to attend college just for the experience since they do not know what to do with their lives at this point. College is where most students have more freedom and more opportunities to do what they couldn’t do while they were living with their parents or being underage, for example parties and being part of a sorority or fraternities is one of the many activities that you can do at college. In addition socializing has become one of the most important things for some people. University is an opportunity for those who did not have a good high school experience to have a new beginning and make more friends.

Thirdly, people not only attend college for better education but to be more responsible. Students who have part time jobs learn how to be responsible with their work and their studies, balance time for both of them, how to do things and make decisions by their selves.

As I mentioned above some of the reasons why people make the decision for a high level education. Going to college can be one of the most important experiences of our lives. It has so many benefits as it can be very helpful for the future.
