Would you please verify if the following sentence is grammatically correct? The context:: Most of the people who are managers now were once users of a particular software. Is there a better way to convey this idea?

Most of the today's managers are yesterday's users.

The context:: Most of the people who are managers now were once users of a particular software. Is there a better way to convey this idea?

Most of (omit 'the') today's managers were yesterday's users.

This sounds like an excellent way to say it.
