Today = stat!

Someone told me that in some parts of the US the expression Today! is used when you are telling someone to hurry up!

Is this true?

I don't think it is used in "some parts" of the US. It can be used anywhere in the US when somebody is taking too much time to do something and we are impatient. " becomes a sarcastic question.

Hi,

In my experience, the only time I hear anyone say 'stat' is in hospital dramas on TV.
