which are correct?

  • Take the second street to your left/on your left.
  • It's the second street on your left/to your left.
  • Make a left in 2 streets.

The first two sound correct. If you were saying the street name first, I would pick the second option. For example: 'You need to turn on 200 west, it's the second street on your left.' or with the first option you could say 'Take the second street on your left, then you will arive at 200 west.'

Either way the other person should understand you. Good luck!

    I think that it would sound better if you said with ahead, rahter than coming up.

    "Take a left on the second street ahead"

    or

    "Make a left on the second street ahead"

    And I believe that the first is the more correct of the two, but either one should be fine.

    And to answer your question, I am from the U.S.A.
