Thank you, CJ.

For BrE, do you think the following are correct? I believe they are somewhat the same as AmE, as to correct grammar.

That's take-away.
That's eat-in. / That's not take-away.

Yes, I think they are correct, but I don't know BrE well, so wait for someone who knows.

For British English after placing an order you would say:-

That's to take-away.
That's to eat in / That's not to take-away.

Thank you very much, Louise, for your input here.

I see British people use 'to' in this case, while Americans use a hyphen, so is it not usual to say:

That's take-away.
That's eat-in. / That's not eat-in

Also, I used to say "That's fortake away", not knowing it was wrong. Emotion: shake

I would not worry about it too much. The purpose of language is to communicate. If you can communicate sufficiently to be understood then you have succeeded. If your objective is to speak English like a native then just think of all the places you could be native of and still speak English - the UK and USA are just 2 and have many differences. Think of Indian and Africa

Hi Louise,

Thank you. That was a very good point. I totally agree with you that to be able to communicate is what is important. I understand I can try, but won't be as natural as a native speaker does especially at a grown-up age.

You're right I should keep communicating and take one day at a time. Soon I will improve.

Again, thank you. I hope you can help me again
