I recently heard someone said "It is okay, if it wasn't important to you"
I used to say as "It is okay, if it wasn't important for you"
Is there any diff in saying "for" instead of "to"? Why they use "to"?
Hi - Is it important to you? - Is it important for you? I think both are OK.

Hi
- Is it important to you?
- Is it important for you?
I think both are OK. I think I would usually choose 'to' but I wouldn't object to anyone who used 'for'.
