Dear teachers,

Which of the following sentence is correct?

(A) It was my first time to visit Japan.
(B) It was my first time visiting Japan.
(C) It was my first time I had visited Japan.

As far as I can tell, A is just a less common way to say B. To make C correct, replace my with the.
