to use "a" or not

Should I use "a" in front of the words I put in the brakets ?

Do you mean you are going to celebrate Christmas without (Santa Claus, Christmas tree), and snow!

What kind of (Christmas) is that going to be?-just kidding!

Personally, I would not use "a". It is a pure guess.

Thank you for your help!

Hope
