To use 'is' or 'are'? That is the question...

Would greatly appreciate some help with this one!

Which would be correct?

"My professional and artistic background is ideally suite to...."

OR

"My professional and artistic background are ideally suited to..."

OR

"My professional and artistic backgrounds are ideally suited to..."

Thanks for your help!
